What is the Six Lessons Approach?
The Six Lessons Approach (SLA) was created by Dr. David Alleman to give doctors a system of protocols that details every step in a biomimetic restoration. SLA takes the guesswork out of restoring teeth. Each step, and the research that supports it, is clearly outlined, so you will see predictable outcomes when using SLA.

What is the difference between the Biomimetic Mastership and the In-Person Workshops?
Both the Biomimetic Mastership and our In-Person Workshops teach Dr. David Alleman’s Six Lessons Approach to Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry (SLA). The main difference is the time we have.
During the Biomimetic Mastership we have a year to go through every detail of the SLA protocols and the science behind them. This includes class lectures, individual mentorship calls and a class WhatsApp group to answer questions and share cases as doctors implement what they learned. Between live lectures, one-on-one meetings and review, doctors will complete 60 continuing education hours over the course of the year.
At our in-person workshops, we cover just the protocols in a more abbreviated format so we have time to lecture, practice hands-on in our opertories and have a live patient demonstration during the two days. Doctors complete 16 continuing education hours during our two-day workshops.

What happens during the year of my Biomimetic Mastership class?
The Biomimetic Mastership starts with nine weeks of live lectures held each Monday at multiple times to accommodate global time zones and schedules. View our upcoming class schedule on our Biomimetic Mastership page. Lectures are 90 minutes to two hours long and are recorded for review.
In addition to reviewing recorded live lectures, doctors have access to Dr. Alleman’s annotated article library, additional recorded lectures and more learning materials through our online learning portal. Doctors access these materials for their program year to review what they are learning, with the option to continue access even after their program ends.
Over the program year, doctors will have 10 one-on-one calls with our team of doctors, Dr. David Alleman, Dr. Davey Alleman, Dr. Dafina Doberdoli and Dr. Dave Wold. During these calls doctors can ask questions, share cases and discuss articles. Each class also has a WhatsApp group, where doctors can continue this conversation with their class.
After a year of reviewing lessons, studying articles and meeting with their mentors, doctors completing the Biomimetic Mastership are able to practice biomimetic dentistry at the highest level.
How quickly can I start using what I learn in Alleman Center programs?

Next we recommend watching our Free Lesson 2 Webinar. In this webinar, Dr. Davey Alleman and Dr. Dafina Doberdoli give an introduction to Lesson 2 of the Six Lessons Approach and discuss the science that serves as the foundation for all Alleman Center training programs.
When you’re ready to learn more, our in-person workshops at our office in Provo, Utah and the Biomimetic Mastership are both excellent options for dentists new to biomimetic dentistry. Whether you prefer to learn in-person or would like the long-term mentorship of the Biomimetic Mastership, both programs will support your goal of practicing conservative dentistry that improves patient outcomes.
I am already practicing biomimetic dentistry. Will the Alleman Center programs teach me anything new?
We often hear from the doctors we train that Alleman Center programs fill in the gaps of previous learning and help answer all of their questions. Our goal is to train doctors to be able to practice at the same level as their mentors; we hold nothing back. For doctors seeking the most comprehensive training, we recommend the Biomimetic Mastership. Our most popular training program, the Biomimetic Mastership takes place over a year and is fully online, giving doctors long-term mentoring and on-demand access to learning materials to achieve the highest level of mastery.
